behind the lens
Photography has always been part of my life. My beloved Art, my hobby, my passion.
The first Photography Course that I took was in 2004, still in the analog era, but after that I graduated and worked for several years in human resources management.
Later, in 2015, with the birth of my daughter Mariana, I finally dedicate myself to my passion again and took a new Photography Degree at Oficina da Imagem, in Lisbon. So, I pursued my dream of working as a full-time photographer, the art and the career that truthfully fulfilled. After all, it is never too late to follow our dreams!
Golden Hour starts to take shape due to my love for photographing people and their connections.
Pursuing my track through wedding reportage was the next step. This would not be possible without the support and commitment of my dear husband Pedro, who joined me as a second photographer, thus starting Golden Hour Photography.
We photograph together, same visual culture, same way of telling stories.
Telling a story with photographs is so much easier than describing ourselves as photographers. We do photograph every day, as if our eyes had a lens integrated. That's why we can´t separate the person from photographer. We shoot from the heart, with everything we are and want to be.
Photography is a way of exploring, seeing, living, feeling, smiling to everything that matches our souls. It's the books we read, the movies we watch, the people we meet and love.
We aim for emotions, expressions, connections, everything that gives us goose bumps, a smile, a look, a tear, a touch, a sigh… Capturing moments, feelings and all the in-betweens.
We photograph the invisible to the eyes and give memories, stories, your story.
We shoot as if it were for us. And when it is ... magic happens ...
“A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.”
— Annie Leibovitz
“We are making photographs to understand what our lives mean to us.”
